Is there a Champion in you?
What is a Champion of Infection Prevention? It is an individual who actively engages
in infection prevention best practices and encourages colleagues to do the same.
A Champion’s top priority is protecting patients by reducing the risk of infection.
To promote a culture within the healthcare professions where targeting the reduction
of healthcare-associated infections is fully embraced, APIC has created The Champion’s
Kit. This kit is part of an initiative to accelerate both learning and delivery
of practical tools for infection preventionists.
The Champion’s Kit includes resources such as
- “Be a Champion” video with Victoria Nahum, Executive Director of Safe Care Campaign
- The Champion’s Kit Implementation Guide
- Champion’s Kit Posters including a customizable poster
- Be a Champion logo
- Champion Success Stories
- Tips for Prevention
- Checklists and Templates
- Infection Prevention Resources and Guidelines
- And more!
More details about how to get your copy of The Champion’s Kit follow soon.
